Sound

I was unwell but I attended the virtual lessons as I was at home had to be very inventive with the sounds I made for my animations I would open my windows to record sounds of cars and traffic from the road I would use my vacuum to try to get recordings of the noise I had used youtube videos in order to obtain crowd noise I also recorded myself tapping the glass with different objects. I also used music I made for a game for the animation and I really enjoyed making the foley for my animation.

I used Blender and Aseprite my 3d worlds model of Abby, I tried to make it seem like we are watching her do her everyday randomness.

With Aseprite I made a fake video game character talking and disappearing.

Sound has the be one of those things that you hear all the time but you do think how can I stimulate sound for different scenarios like someone being slapped instead of a slap replace it with a drum.
It technically gives the same effect.

Doing the animation for the sounds was really fun as I filmed everything inside but it feels well made as if it’s outside.

Photographics

Project BriefIn this rotation and project, students will design and digitally composite an abstract composition using Adobe Photoshop. By following the guidance and principles of 2-dimensional design, students will craft a dynamic composition using point, line, shape, texture and colour to their advantage. Furthermore, students will write a brief analysis about their final composition, addressing their conceptprocess and outcome.

I used this as there is a lot of negative space, I could work with it more and the positive space that is there is so bold.
I chose this picture as the bars showed repetition in their shape and its tonal contrast is black it will make the viewer see the bars first.
Loved the asymmetrical building tops that I used this also.

I wanted to make my work be abstract so I changed the horizon points and filled the negative space from the Elephant and Castle with a repetitive shape and I used the asymmetrical buildings to be under the same negative space.

Sketching and Drawing

I was unwell I drew environments when I was on the but some at home I drew some at LCC

I drew more at home showing the bleakness of stress and it makes your environments be filled with disorganization and filled with

A person stood where I was drawing and I asked I could draw her in she was quite happy to let me.

Traditional animation

Traditional animation was my favourite rotation as I get to work with paper and pencil just like my animator hero James Baxter.

I was given 3 mini briefs :

1. Straight Ahead and Pose to Pose

2. Timing and Spacing

3. Ease out and in

(with pdf brief attached)

I picked the ease in and out and then I began sketching the idea of Abby in a debate who is in a debate becoming sleepy then is woken up which surprises her and then makes her feel annoyed.

Workshop briefs:
1) – Debating Character
In order to familiarise yourself with the animation chart and how to ease out and into a
keyframe, use the following animation chart to work out your in-betweens for a pose to pose
animation. Design a simple character with three separate hand gestures which will be your
keyframes 1-30, 42-71 and 83-112. The keyframes cover 30 frames because they will be
shot under the line tester 30 times so the character pauses at the end of each pose.

From my feedback, I was told that io went over the brief and thought it was good if it was in the industry it could cause problems which I do understand but as I was unaware that the brief told a different story to what I thought was written and I do take responsibility for that.
