Motion graphics

I was unwell but I made a small animation of glowing circles.

First I made a circle
Then I used 4 point gradient
I duplicated the circle made it black
Shrunk it down to let the underlayer show
then I put a blur on the black circle
for the highlights I made a circle and used a gradient effect on the circle and
I had a mask layer to see the highlight under
I then resized the highlight layer then put it on the cloured circle.
I duplicated the highlight and mask layer changed the position of the new highlight layer and I changed the position of this new highlight layer and colour
the next thing I did was to make a background colour so I made one
I brought everything onto the same layer as the background
I went into the code of the ring and made there be, for the rotation I put in time*20 to make there be a constant rotation and I also put code on the position for it to wiggle (.5,55) this makes the circle not be sitting at the same spot and gives more life to it
I put in a glow effect on the ring and I put in a noise effect to make sure there is no residue of the glow making there be weird lines in the background
I duplicated more rings and changed the locations
The final with different variations and different hues

Sketches

This is version one of my ideas I was thinking of a beach with a cute little cabin but I didn’t go with this idea because I thought it would take too much time to make everything.
The second version was more Christmas themed (I don’t know why) and I drew my character, Abby, I made in character design last week so I wanted to incorporate both in my scene somehow.
The third version is both ideas combined to create one collage of a sandy beach with a lovely sunset.
  • The Ocean in the camera view.
  • This is the Ocean and background test to see if the colours a too similar to each other.
  • The light is placed to see how the relfcetion projcets it’s self on the Ocean.

Version 1

For my first version I chose to go with a warm beachy vibe, and it worked well. 

Version 2

So, for the second version I tried to do a cooler tone in the background that has a more purple tone to it. 

Version 3

For the third version, I tried to make it be the sunset is hazier and give the sun more deep orange, while the background is more of a dark purple and it makes the light look more real, it has all the going to the sun. 

Version 4

For the 4th version, I put a film grain as an overlay for the beach background I do not really think it worked well.

Version 5

For the fifth one, I just went a bit crazy with it, and I just made everything super bright, which was a bit stupid because it is kind of it makes your eyes hurt. It is there is a bit of eyestrain to the colours, so it was not really my best attempt.

Character Design

Character Design

Our task was to create a character using a theme provided to us.

I chose…

WINTER!

For winter I thought of using winter animals so I first chose a reindeer who truly believes in the love that winter brings.
The second character I created was a timid Arctic fox who is always sickly but he always tries his best.
The last character is a Snowshoe hare she is the eldest of the group always caring and providing wisdom to her friends.

I first had to make the sketch l made sure that the body shape is visible through the clothing by Showing the circles.

I think character design has helped me develop a new style to my usual art style and it has helped me think about side profiles and the silhouette of the characters I will make in the future.

Creative Writing

Project Brief:

You will write a compelling and dark short story (complete at 150 words) Or, if you prefer, the beginning (also 150 words) of something longer. The piece of writing can be inspired by a selected image of your own (to be supplied at assessment), or inspired by a title to be given in class.

So I came up with an idea where the victim becomes the murderer.

I thought about how the (victim) played to be a person with severe Masochist (A person who enjoys the feeling of receiving pain) the victim only wants to be murdered by someone with experience and no remorse for their actions.

But to their despair are visited by a newcomer to the killing world where the victim becomes the murder all because of incompetents of their supposed killer.

I wanted to experiment with my writing style so I tried to mimic the 24 military times.

I finished gathering the tools that are needed to end my life and placed them on my coffee table, laced with a disposable table mat.

I begin to feel goosebumps on my arms as the feeling of excitement is clinging to me, Today I will die by someone who I met through the dark web.

I’m actually FEELING SOMETHING! Feels me with a sense of nostalgia for my terrible life.

She is late.

Twenty minutes, to be frank, I left the back door open for her arrival and I will rest for an hour.

21:35

I wake up seeing her tying me to the chair with cable wire with shaky hands.

Finally, my days are coming to an end.

21:40

She has been sitting watching me with fear in her eyes.

I sat there bound to the chair with my frustration growing louder, I growled the words to her “You bore me to death.”
